Industrial Grade Gas Sensor

WOOFAA Cee air monitor is using industrial grade gas sensors, which not only giving a higher measuring resolution on ppb level, it also has a long lasting (5-10 years) product life versus conventional type (2-5 years).

The magic is on and advanced high polymer technology from Germany, with which the conventional liquid-state electrochemical sensor method is replaced by solid-state. This advanced tech brings in advantages such as:

  • Industrial grade precision (accuracy, repeatability & linearity), superior performance above all semiconductive and MEMS type sensors
  • PPB (parts-per-billion) resolution, against to PPM (parts-per-million) on semiconductive and MEMS type sensors
  • Less data drifting over time, no calibration is ever needed over its product life
  • Faster response time, quicker zero recovery, no warm-up time due to its low temperature resistance
  • Immunes towards electromagnetic interference, resulting a lower-cost hardware construction to work with AC power supply and WIFI signals on the same PC board

HKCITTC is a vocational training center for construction workers. Apart from general IAQ monitoring (on PM2.5, VOC, Room Temperature and Relativity Humidity), there are few welding zones where the management wanted to monitor two specific types of gas for safety purpose: carbon monoxide (CO) and acetylene (C2H2).

Conventional industrial grade CO and C2H2 gas detectors are expensive and bulky if made to work wirelessly. Our WOOFAA Cee made an excellent alternative hardware in terms of both performance and time to deployment.
